Old news ... we need to have multiple people in jail for this. Hard to believe that will happen with the level of Deep State corruption we have.
Attorney General said the FBI's Russian collusion counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign was one of the "greatest travesties in American history." In an interview with FNC's Laura Ingraham, Barr said the investigation was started "without any basis" and what happened after the election was a pattern of events "to sabotage the presidency."
There are some signs that Corona might turn out to help explain the obvious to the "elites". Would you rather eat or listen to someone who thinks you are "deplorable" whine about Trump?
The virus has reminded us again, but in an unorthodox fashion, that the world is bifurcated by the degreed versus the non-college educated, rural versus urban, sophisticates in opposition to supposed rubes — and the dichotomy has been telling. I don’t suppose Rick Wilson will go on CNN again to do his fake-Okie accent to ridicule the supposed unwashed, who deliver his food and energy, as viewers might wonder what exactly was his expertise.
A good summary of what the Democrats/Deep State have wrought while trying to cover their past misdeeds and protect the supremacy of their extra-Constitutional rule.
Impeachment has been redefined as a mere vote of no confidence and will become a rank political ploy for years to come once an opposition party gains a majority in the House. It is taking on the flavor of a preemptory device, a vaccination, rather than a medicine, as if to prevent future hypothetical crimes in the absence of current impeachable offenses.
It is impossible to decide how "smart" Trump is, and it is impossible to deny that he has been WAY more successful than anyone with the exception of Scott Adams predicted. ( it wasn't a landslide, but STILL!)
I thought the BO "stimulus" was a disaster, and I think there is every bit of evidence that this one will be as well -- it is loaded with pork, and the addition of specific vindictiveness against Trump is a "special sauce".
OTOH, what price is worth it to defeat Biden? I can imagine Biden doing 50 Trillion in damage + irrecoverable damage to the future of Christians and conservatives in the US.
The easy assumption is that like quicksand in the old TV shows, "The Swamp" has claimed "The Donald".
Will the stimulus stimulate? Donald Trump, who seems to have had nothing to do with the actual formation of the $2 trillion bill, is exhorting Congress to pass it Wednesday. It contains all kinds of bennies for the Democratic party, including an obscure provision that enables over-the-counter drug reform. But the real shift is that the GOP is now embracing big government — and it’s likely to continue in the form of further stimulus bills.
Mostly a waste of time doing a biased comparison of Trump and Sanders. Conclusion, Trump and his supporters are dangerous and deluded. There are "similarities", as in "bucking the party elite", but of course if you are the WaPo, socialism is perfectly reasonable -- and if they are fully successful, you will be FORCED to agree! (it's for your own good!)
"At a time when there’s no real dominant ideology which can unite people,” historian Michael Kazin said, “it’s not surprising that people sort of go into their separate camps and find solace and comfort.”
Yes, there once was a time when loving God, not making earthly ideologies and material your god, honoring your father and mother, not killing the vulnerable (as in abortion and infanticide), adultery (an form of sex outside of marriage of one man to one woman), etc were considered to be absolutely WRONG.
When I worked at IBM, the worker bees (which many such "bees" referred to as "The Grovelers") knew that when management got together a "committee" (commonly called "a Task Force"), the project was DEAD.
Back when IBM ruled the world, there were actual LEADERS at the top of the company and even down through the ranks. It is pretty obvious that such exists at Amazon, Oracle, and I'm guessing Google as well as Microsoft ... in any case, we can name the ones that made those names household words, as we can IBM -- WATSON!
Friedman (Fried Man) obviously is quite concerned about "leadership" -- he would likely find any actual leader to to be an "undiagnosed sociopath" ... the issue is Thumos ... Manliness. Tom would likely be less confident in a standard North Woods WI bar.
Friedman is "elite", here is his home ...
Tom is a HUGE believer in globalization, and globalization has been very very good for Tom!
He recommends that the Democrats form a committee of all the leading lights of the political left and he fervently at least hopes that it will unite all the fractured Democrat party so that the unwashed masses of the deplorables can be put back in their unemployment, addictions, and hopelessness rather than keep running around in MAGA hats and WORKING!
I was once a groveler who fell to the temptation of being rewarded for licking the boots of the "leadership" -- even if they wore spike heels and in the real world could not lead a team out of a parking lot using Google Maps.
As a Christian, I believe in redemption. Thanks be to God.
So raise OADSI to 12.4 + 2.9 medicare + 11.5 M4A + a 17.2 base rate in that income level and I get a 44.3 rate for people around 28K income level.
The employer has to match the OADSI / medicare ... which is an added cost of employment, just like corporate taxes, this is a COST which MUST be passed on since the employer or the corporation must show a profit / return on investment, or they are not going to stay in business add another 15.3% giving 59.6%
Then you would need to add state taxes, sales taxes, etc which would conservatively be "10%"
Thus, we have GIGANTIC work discouragement which means more people sitting at home, getting depressed and way too often committing suicide.
Naturally Bernie is going to be very hard to pin down here -- he can't admit to proposing a 70% rate on people making $30K and have ANY hope of getting elected. We know Bernie's agenda ... he wants a socialist state ala Venezuela or the USSR -- and increasingly, Americans are too poorly educated (in fact, indoctrinated) to understand what that means.
